My name is Pastor Joe Hooten. I was born June 7, 1978.
I am a recovered alcoholic and addict, clean and sober by the grace of God, since March 31, 1997.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Sierra, since September 14, 1999.
I have been a dedicated believer in Jesus Christ since May 2, 2001.
I have four children. Two boys and two girls. Alex and Robbie, and Serenity and Abby. Alex has multiple disabilities, being totally blind and having infantile autism.
We currently live in Decatur, IL.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Ministry from Bethel College with a concentration in nonprofit management. I also have Certificates in Biblical Studies and Biblical Greek from Tyndale Seminary, and Basic Training in Biblical Counseling from Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries. My graduate work includes credits in both Teaching (9) and Divinity (9).
I am currently working at Menards in Champaign. I am also pulpit supply pastor attached to the Midwest Region of Churches of God General Conference of Ohio.
