Wow! What a Journey…

My journey as a husband, father, brother-in-Christ, pastor, educator, man, and man of faith continues and is always full of surprises. In some ways, life has rewound 20 years, and I am back to being a class-A commercial semi truck driver. I was a truck driver in 2001 when I came to believe in Jesus, and now, I am back behind the wheel after resigning from the pulpit after Christmas last winter. Although I am not currently in vocational ministry, my heart for Christ, my heart for pastoral ministry, my calling to the pulpit, and my desire to serve and teach have not changed. However, after a period of financial difficulties and hardship including almost going into foreclosure on the home we had just bought, which was brought on by our move and underemployment for an extended period of time without side jobs, God has blessed me with an opportunity to earn a good living wage and restore our family’s financial health.

However, I have been challenged to return to the outlets I have available to me to continue serving irregardless of my circumstances. One of those means is returning to regular posts here on godswordislife.com, posting on the youtube channel, and even considering TikTok…

I thank everyone who has followed my journey thus far and look forward to whatever the future may hold and wherever the future may lead.
